..Jack Taylor has been painting, drawing and sculpting most of his life but never took it seriously until he was offered the opportunity to do the artwork for his high school yearbook. He spent four years working in Columbus, Ohio for North American Aviation, four years in the United States Air Force, four years working for North American Rockwell, and after starting a family, spent the next thirty one years as a training representative and manager for Rockwell International/United Space Alliance and Lockheed at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. His dedication to working on the Apollo and Shuttle Space Programs limited the time he spent developing his artistic skills. In 1970 he began painting again with oils, watercolor and acrylic media. Most of his work was produced between 1970 and 1973 while he attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. He also did several paintings at the request of family and friends. After retiring from the Space Program in 1999, he resumed his desire to become a serious artist.

"Arrival of The Fairies" 12/2007 Acrylic ..Jack was born on August 6, 1934. He is a traditional style artist that enjoys painting and sculpture. He prefers painting on canvas with acrylic paints over other media and prefers traditional subjects painted in a non-traditional style both abstract like his “Evil Spirits” and the traditional style of his “Vanished Culture” He especially favors the painting styles of Rembrandt van Rijn, Thomas Kinkade, and Peter Rubens. Jack also has done limited work with carving media like clay and vermiculite as seen in his “Old Sailor of the Sea” but plans to produce more works with this media. Jack is now 75 years old and plans to devote his remaining retirement years to his family, acrylic painting and sculpture.
